Almost a cold war: 2018-2020 (video)

is a visual rendering and emotional map and at the same time it depicts the neglect of a past that was not fully known to me: the neglect of the past in the Saar region (temporarily a satellite state) in Germany…. and the former French embassy building – ‘Ancienne ambassade de France’. The charisma of the typical French architecture as well as the post-war constructions never stopped my interrogation that the past affects territory, visions, identity - I examined the ‘psychological geography’.

A storytelling animation mixing official and unofficial personal history – it challenges what I describe as a political amnesia – revealing the forgotten while proposing an alternative infused with personal memory.
